Sethupathi is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by S. U. Arun Kumar. Produced by Shan Sutharsan under Vansan Movies, it features Vijay Sethupathi and Remya Nambeesan in the lead roles. The film released worldwide on 19 February 2016, it received positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success

While conducting an investigation into the mysterious death of a fellow officer, a cop’s own reputation is questioned when a suspect in his custody is shot.

The murder of a fellow cop is investigated by ace Inspector Sethupathi who approaches the case intelligently taking the untraveled route to arrive at a solution. The case with all its twists & turns ultimately makes him go head-on with the big shot Vaathiyar, which puts his job and family at stake.

The film starts out with an opening song ‘Mazhai Thooralam’ describing the life of an Indian cop.By the time this song ends, you know you’re moved already.

Vijay’s body language is perfectly suitable to the ‘cop’ role. And that moustache – mass!I’m sure that this film is the best of his till date.Heroine and other actors were given decent roles.Although a routine cop story, direction was pretty good.

The BGM music composed by Prasanna was mind-blowing.Every song had different combinations of rock and pop.The film is a perfect family and action packed entertainment.

Trust me you won’t regret watching ‘Sethupathi’
